Deoria Tal to Chopta: A Walk to Remember

It is one of the most beautiful and easiest treks in the Garhwal Himalays. Deoria Tal (also written as Devaria) is roughly 3-4 km from Sari village, which is approximately 20 km from Ukhimath. Deoria Tal is a beautiful lake that you’ll love for sure. The reflection of the mighty Chaukhamba peak in the lake looks beautiful.

The group however, will not only be doing Sari-Deoria Tal trek but it also plans to complete the Chopta-Tungnath Trek and want to move on to Chandrashila Peak from Tungnath Temple. On the way, the group plans to camp at a beautiful location.

Here is the tentative itinerary of Deoria Tal-Chopta-Tungnath-Chandrashila Trek:

2 June, 2012 – Ukhimath
3 June, 2012 – Ukhimath-Sari-Deoria Tal
4 June, 2012 – Deoria Tal – Chopta- Tungnath
